When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. There are times when fate twists and presents you with the unpredictable. How you choose to handle that determines your personal and professional future.
After 17 years of marriage and 3 children, Bev Moser parted ways with her husband. The divorce was clean and a mutual decision however it did come with emotional stress. What will I do? What am I doing? How am I going to survive? – These are some of the questions that were constantly circulating in her mind. However, she rose beyond her circumstances and decided to have faith and confidence in herself and her ability. She decided to make a move to Nashville.
Who is Bev Moser? While the residents of Nashville, Tennessee and country music star celebrities are very familiar with this name, we want you to know her and her amazing story. Her story restores belief and faith in hard work and passion. Bev Moser is the Vice President of Publicity for the 117 Entertainment Group. Prior to this, Bev was a renowned photographer / a photo journalist at Moments by Moser Photography.
Originally from the Midwest, Bev developed a liking for Country Music. When the internet became popular in 1990s, she was the Queen of internet. She was all over the internet pages because of her love for Country music. Bev got connected to a group of 13 ladies. They started going to concerts together and attended the Fan Fair (now known as the CMA Music Fest), every year. Her active participation made her talent visible to the media.
She was approached by the local radio channel to be a part of their show and to provide them updates about what’s happening in the world of country music. Knowing the lovely and charming person that she is, the listeners absolutely loved her. She was offered a job at the same station where she worked for 5 years and loved it. However, when she got divorced she relocated to Nashville.
Her relocation to Nashville made her realize that geography changed a lot of things. These visible changes made her question her decision. She still remembers thinking to herself, “I can’t walk into a job without a college degree in radio!” However she didn’t let that affect her attitude towards wanting to build a future for herself.
Nashville has a tight circle of people. Bev had a lot of friends there, friends who would invite her to different events to have fun. It was at one such event she met a professional photographer who was driving all the way from Atlanta to Nashville for covering events. Bev had the same camera and loved photography as a hobby so she offered to help him for free. After some time, the same photographer hired her to work for him.
One thing led to another, and she founded Moments by Moser Photography and became one of Nashville’s biggest event photographers who covered every music event in Nashville for 17 good years! Bev had to learn the rules of the music business very quickly. She had to start from scratch but it worked. She worked tirelessly and became a professional in something that she never imagined having as a career. She loved it and absolutely enjoyed when people called her year after year.
Over the years Bev Moser has had the honor to work with Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, Toby Keith, Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift, and many International artists plus Marquee artists. She has also had the honor of covering the Country Radio Seminar for 8 to 9 years and the Song Writers Hall of Fame Event. She also worked as a content provider and conducted artists’ interviews etc which enabled her to have the privilege of knowing country music celebrities, personally.
While she was working hard and building her worth, she adopted a new born. Let us stress on the fact here that Bev Moser is not only a successful career woman but also a loving mother to her four children. While her children from her marriage are young adults now, her adopted son still requires the attention of his mother. When he is around, Bev shapes her schedule around him. She describes her fun time to be related to her son and his sports. She takes a daily 6 mile walk and also attends every sporting event that he is a part of.
When asked how she managed all of that, Bev said that she has to wear multiple hats, be a queen of organization, and has to multitask. From listing parties, to album releases to launching to artists, Bev has got it all covered. When asked how she remained calm in such a happening world, she laughed and said,
“One day at a time – One Step and One breath. Focus what you are doing in this moment. Don’t worry about tomorrow it will fall into place. God has a plan for everyone. Find your Zen and reconnect with everything – It will keep you calm!”
She wants every woman to follow her mantra –“Believe”. In her own words,
“Believe. Believing has gotten me through anything. When you go through trials and tribulations, you just have to believe in yourself that you can do whatever you set your mind to. Believe and you can make it happen.”
Despite being a high achiever, Bev Moser is a down to earth, warm hearted person who loves helping others and empowering women and girls. She is a giver. She concluded the interview by saying,
“Treat everybody in your life the way you want to be treated. Work together because together is always better.”
