You Have the Power…Know How to Use It, Inc. was founded by President and Founder First Lady of Tennessee, Andrea Conte in Nashville, Tennessee in 1993 to advocate for victims and educate the community to prevent violent crime.

You Have the Power...Know How to Use It, Inc. is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to raising awareness about crime and justice issues. The mission is to advocate for victims and educate the community to prevent violent crime. A belief that knowledge is power - with the right information one can reduce the chances of becoming a victim, but if are victimized, the right information can help put the pieces of ones life back together.

Conducting educational programs, creating training videos, and producing resource guidebooks on topics such as domestic violence, elder abuse, methamphetamine abuse, and child sexual abuse are key activities of the organization. DVDs are distributed nationwide to law enforcement, universities, domestic violence shelters, congregations, and many others to educate professionals and the general public. victim impact classes for inmates at Charles Bass Correctional Complex, Corrections Corporation of America, Tennessee Prison for Women, and Metro-Davidson County Sheriff's Department are also facilitated

Liberty Hall at The Factory in Franklin was filled with special guests, VIP’s and supporters on Thursday, October 28, 2010 who gathered to support YHTP with Rock the Power, unplugged . Special performances by Gary Morris, Bryan White, Linda Davis, Baillie and the Boys and Jonell Mosser, several of Nashville’s finest entertainers, were a highlight of the evening, which also included a silent auction and sit down dinner catered by Shoney’s.

Gary Morris, whose voice is the only instrument needed to move the listener's heart and soul. He is probably best known for his original recording of "Wind Beneath My Wings," which won both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music Song of the Year Awards. At the height of his Nashville recording career, Morris boldly opted to play opposite Linda Ronstadt in the New York Shakespeare Festival production of Puccini's opera La Boheme. Next, he accepted the heroic lead role of Jean Valjean in "Les Miserables," on Broadway. Receiving resounding critical praise, including a Drama Desk Best Actor nomination, his performance set the standard for this challenging role. Morris' famous rendition of "Bring Him Home" can be found on the platinum-selling Grammy Award-winning International cast album, as well as on his latest CD, "Gospel Classics, Volume 2 - Rock of Ages."

Bryan White, charted seventeen singles on Billboard's Country Charts, had six number one singles, two platinum records, two gold records, he joined forces with Shania Twain and together they took “From This Moment On” all the way up to number four on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart. He has garnered several awards for himself, including a Grammy, a CMA Horizon Award, and an ACM Top Male Vocalist award among them. And, with his songwriting, he helped several other artists climb the charts; Sawyer Brown and Diamond Rio both got in the top five with songs co-written by White and Wynonna, Joe Diffie, LeAnn Rimes and Lila McCann all recorded songs he co-wrote.

Linda Davis has recorded five major-label studio albums and more than 15 singles. Her highest chart entry is "Does He Love You", her 1993 duet with Reba McEntire, which reached Number One on the Billboard country charts and won both singers the Grammy for Best Country Vocal Collaboration, while her highest solo chart peak is 1996's "Some Things Are Meant to Be" at #13. Davis is also the wife of country singer Lang Scott and the mother of Lady Antebellum lead singer Hillary Scott.

Baillie and the Boys, gained prominence in the late 1980s and currently consists of Kathie Baillie, her husband, Michael Bonagura, and Alan LeBoeuf. Baillie & the Boys. The group recorded and released their first single entitled "Oh Heart" which also became the group's first top ten hit and their trademark song. They followed with five more albums to score a total of 10 Billboard Top 10 country hits-many of which were co-written by Kathie-and were recognized with awards and nominations from the Country Music Association, the Academy of Country Music and the TNN/Music City News Awards.

Jonell Mosser, For over two decades, the Kentucky native has been one of the brightest lights on the Nashville music scene and a reliable fixture in the city's clubs, concert halls and recording studios, energizing the hit recordings of a wide range of artists – including Etta James, Rodney Crowell, Patti Smyth, Vince Gill, B. B. King, Wynonna, A. J. Croce, Trisha Yearwood, Bruce Cockburn and Waylon Jennings – with the unmatched soulfulness of her voice and the total emotional commitment of her delivery. In a town known equally for country music and creative compromise, Mosser has spent over two decades sticking steadfastly to her guns.
